Two years ago we decided to splurge and purchase a greenhouse for our backyard. The thought of growing some of our own vegetables here at home was very appealing to us. This was the helmet that was used by the warlord Rexor in the movie Conan the Barbarian. The helmet is a full sized helmet that has been beautifully and cleverly replicated by the master craftsman. The point is – you’ve seen the incredible claims, scare tactics, and “Buzz” about Social Marketing… The claims have become so outrageous about the “streets paved with gold”; it has become difficult to tell reality from fantasy. This inaugural issue of vNews is devoted to the Good, Bad and Ugly side of Social Marketing. The “Bad” I hope you’ll forgive me but we are going to tackle the “Bad” first… there is just soooo much misinformation on Social Marketing; we need to get rid of the myths first. (see Video below) Then we’ll tackle the “Good”… yes, Social Marketing has its place… it’s just not a cure all for getting traffic to your site.
